Privacy Policy
1. Scope and who we are
Alinery is the alignment IDE, made by Delegance AI, Inc. (“Delegance”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers two things:
- This marketing website, where you can join the waitlist.
- The Alinery desktop application, currently in private beta.
It is written to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: the website collects one thing, an email address, and it goes straight to our email provider. The application sends telemetry so we can improve it, and you can switch that off in Settings.
Alinery is pre-launch, so this policy will change as the product does. Every change is dated at the top of this page.
2. Information we collect
On this website
The only personal information this website asks for is a work email address, typed into the waitlist form. When you submit it, your browser sends it directly to Loops.so (app.loops.so), the third-party email marketing service we use, where it is stored on our mailing list. The waitlist form asks for an email address and nothing else.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. As with any web host or CDN, Cloudflare processes standard server request data when you load a page: IP address, user agent, and timestamps.
That is the whole list. This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no third-party analytics, and carries no tracking pixels. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not follow you across other sites.
In the Alinery application
The Alinery desktop application collects telemetry and usage data so we can improve the product. That covers:
- Feature usage events — which parts of Alinery are opened and used, and how often.
- Performance and crash diagnostics — errors, crash reports, and timing data that show us where Alinery is slow or broken.
- Environment and version information — your operating system and the version of Alinery you are running, so we can reproduce problems.
You can turn all of this off. Section 3 explains how.
3. Telemetry and your opt-out
Alinery sends telemetry and usage data to Delegance. We use it to see which features people actually use, catch crashes, and fix performance problems before they reach everyone else.
You can opt out of sending tracking data at any time in Settings. Open Settings in Alinery and turn tracking off. From that point on, Alinery stops sending telemetry events. You do not need to ask us, give a reason, or contact support, and nothing else about the product changes when you do it.
Telemetry is used to improve Alinery and for nothing else. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
4. How we use information
- Your email address — to send you waitlist and product updates about Alinery, and to invite you when a beta slot opens. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is the fastest way to stop hearing from us.
- Request data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) — to serve the site, keep it up, and protect it from abuse. This is handled by Cloudflare as part of hosting.
- Telemetry and usage data — to understand how Alinery is used, fix crashes, improve performance, and decide what to build next.
We do not use any of it for advertising, and Delegance AI does not sell personal information.
5. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the GDPR requires us to have a legal basis for each use of your information. Ours are:
- Consent — waitlist and product emails. You give it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
- Legitimate interests — running and securing the website, and understanding product usage so we can improve Alinery. You can opt out of telemetry in Settings at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or produce records.
7. Data retention
- Waitlist email — kept on our Loops.so mailing list until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or we no longer need it for the waitlist.
- Request data — retained by Cloudflare under its own log retention practices as our hosting provider. We do not keep a separate copy.
- Telemetry and usage data — kept only for as long as it is useful for the purposes in section 4, then deleted or aggregated so it no longer identifies anyone.
8. Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and data in transit to our processors is encrypted. Access to personal information is limited to the people at Delegance who need it to do their job, and to the processors listed in section 6.
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach that affects your personal information, we will tell you and notify the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
9. International transfers
Delegance AI, Inc. is a United States company, and the processors we use operate infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from your own.
Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
10. Your rights
Two of these you can exercise yourself, right now, without contacting anyone: unsubscribe from any email we send, and turn tracking off in Alinery Settings.
If you are in the UK or the EEA
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information (the “right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict or object to how we process it, including profiling.
- Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already happened.
- Complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and why.
- Request deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the right stands, and you can also opt out of telemetry in Settings.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CPRA defines it.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not degrade Alinery, delay your beta access, or charge you differently.
How to make a request
Email us at the address in section 13 and tell us what you want. We may need to confirm you control the email address in question before we act, so that nobody else can make requests about your data. We respond within the time the law allows — one month under the GDPR, 45 days under the CCPA — and we will tell you if we need longer. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with proof of authority.
11. Children's privacy
Alinery is a professional developer tool. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We update this page whenever what we collect, or how we use it, changes. The date at the top of the page always reflects the most recent update.
If a change is material — new categories of data, a new purpose, a new processor — we will give you notice before it takes effect, by email to the waitlist, in the application, or both.
13. Contact
Alinery is made by Delegance AI, Inc. For questions about this policy, or to make a request about your data, email:
A real person reads that inbox. If your message is a rights request under section 10, say so in the subject line and we will route it accordingly.
